Investor Charter in respect of Research Analyst (RA), as prescribed by SEBI.

B. Mission
Every investor should be able to invest in the right investment products based on their needs, monitor and understand fair advice for their hard-earned money, keep pace with the financial markets, and achieve financial well-being.
C. Details of business transacted by the Research Analyst with respect to the investors
- To publish research reports based on the research activities of the Research Analyst.
- To provide an independent, unbiased view on securities.
- To offer unbiased recommendations, disclosing the financial interests in the recommended securities.
- To provide research recommendations based on an analysis of publicly available information and known observations.
- To conduct an audit annually.
D. Details of services provided to investors (no indicative timelines)
Onboarding of clients
- Sharing the terms and conditions of the research services.
- Completing the KYC of fee-paying clients.
Disclosure to clients
- Distributing research reports and recommendations to clients without discrimination.
- Maintaining confidentiality about a research report until it is made available in the public domain.
E. Details of grievance redressal mechanism and how to access it
In case of any grievance or complaint, an investor should first approach the Research Analyst, who shall ensure that the grievance is resolved within 30 days.
If the complaint is not redressed satisfactorily, the investor may lodge a complaint with SEBI on the SCORES portal (scores.sebi.gov.in), a centralised web-based complaints redressal system. SEBI takes up complaints registered via SCORES with the concerned intermediary for redressal.
The investor may also initiate dispute resolution through the Online Dispute Resolution (Smart ODR) portal at smartodr.in.
Physical complaints may be sent to: Office of Investor Assistance and Education, Securities and Exchange Board of India, SEBI Bhavan, Plot No. C4-A, “G” Block, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Bandra (E), Mumbai – 400051.
F. Expectations from the investors (responsibilities of investors)
Do’s
- Always deal with a SEBI-registered Research Analyst.
- Ensure that the Research Analyst has a valid registration certificate.
- Check for the SEBI registration number.
- Refer to the list of all SEBI-registered Research Analysts on the SEBI website: sebi.gov.in/sebiweb/other/OtherAction.do?doRecognisedFpi=yes&intmId=14
- Always pay attention to the disclosures made in the research reports before investing.
- Pay your Research Analyst through banking channels only, and maintain duly signed receipts mentioning the details of your payments.
- Before buying securities or applying in a public offer, check the research recommendation provided by your Research Analyst.
- Ask all relevant questions and clear your doubts with your Research Analyst before acting on a recommendation.
- Always keep a copy of all your investment documentation safely.
- Inform SEBI about any Research Analyst offering assured or guaranteed returns.
Don’ts
- Do not provide funds for investment to the Research Analyst.
- Do not fall prey to luring advertisements or market rumours.
- Do not get attracted to a limited-period discount or other incentives, gifts, etc. offered by a Research Analyst.
- Do not share the login credentials and passwords of your trading and demat accounts with the Research Analyst.
